Author: Evangelist Ted R. Weiland
The Fourth Commandment is cited seven times in the Old Testament:: Exodus 16:26 20:8-11 31:14-16 35:2-3 Leviticus 23:3 Deuteronomy 5:12-15 and Jeremiah 17: 21-22.
Inflexible interpretations concerning the Fourth Commandment have probably caused more division among Christians than all of the other nine commandments combined. It is regrettable that this commandment which was given to honor the creator and bless man is often the cause of alienation among Christians.
